Michael Payne
Vice President of Operations
Michael Payne’s primary responsibilities include budget development and technology initiatives, and overseeing day-to-day operations of managed properties. Payne also works with individual properties in formulating and implementing operating policies and standards, coordinating property acquisitions and takeovers, spearheading new property development efforts and directing social media strategies.
Before joining Portfolio, he was Operations Manager for Coastal Hotel Group where he formulated and managed award-winning revenue management strategies and e-commerce programs on behalf of all managed properties. Payne’s 16 year career with Coastal Hotel Group also covered extensive multi-discipline experience with positions as General Manager, Controller, Corporate Trainer and Corporate Technology Director, at luxury properties including Hotel Jerome, Cheeca Lodge and Beaver Creek Lodge.
